Tell city leaders next steps toward more affordable housing

City of Sequim staff invite the community to hear about a recent study about affordable housing, and offer input on an action plan.

The city hosts an informational meeting from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St., to consider highlights from the recent Affordable Housing Study and proposed Action Plan.

The study was conducted to help the staff identify the existing housing supply within city limits. It outlines the city’s social, economic and demographic information and how it relates to the affordability of the housing market.

The Action Plan, city staffers say, outlines potential steps the city may take to address housing affordability, supply and demand. Meeting participants will have the opportunity to provide input on elements of the proposed action plan strategies.
