A bit of European flair highlights the funding needs for some of Clallam County’s most vulnerable citizens.

Tickets are on sale now for the fourth annual Tour of Italy Gala, set for Saturday, Oct. 20, at the at the Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.

The dinner, live and silent auctions, raising monies for Clallam Mosaic begins with a beer and wine social hour and viewing at 4 p.m.

Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. and features lasagna, both with meat and vegetarian, a pumpkin pesto lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo, and Caesar and green salads.

Funds raised during the evening supports Clallam Mosaic’s continued growth and expansion of day programs and one-on-one services for individuals with special needs, as well as network support to families and caregivers.

The evening features dishes created in association with New Day Eatery in Port Angeles. A dessert auction will showcase several local bakers including delicious dishes from Kathryn Kitts of Sweet Beginning Café in Sequim, and from the former owner of Jean’s Deli, also from Sequim. Custom-labeled Clallam Mosaic wines from Hurricane Hills vintners, Port Angeles, will be available by the glass, the bottle and the case.

Raffle tickets are available for a chance to win eight days and seven nights at a condo in Kona, Hawaii. Only 48 tickets will be sold at $100 per ticket. The drawing will be held on Oct. 20 (must be present to win).

Some of the live auction items include a Tom Petty autographed guitar; two tickets to the Dec. 23 Seattle Seahawks football game (vs Kansas City); Beatles Abby Road memorabilia; an auto-graphed Eagles guitar; and eight-day stay at a Mazatlan vacation condo, and more.

Silent auctions feature: a golf package from The Cedars at Dungeness and a hot air balloon ride courtesy of Dream Catcher Balloon. Other treasures include an ocean fishing trip, gift certificates from local restaurants and diverse local businesses. Also featured are artisan created quilts, photographs, paintings and woodwork.
