Travel trailer fire displaces tenant

An 8:30 a.m. fire on Monday, Dec. 30,  destroyed a travel trailer located behind the home at 171 Olympian Way east of Port Angeles.

The first arriving fire crews found that the trailer was 90 percent consumed with flames and the small shed-like structure next to it also was on fire. The fire will displace the one female that lived in the trailer.

She was not home at the time of the fire. It is not clear if the trailer was insured or the dollar amount of the loss.

The fire was extinguished in approximately 15 minutes by 12 firefighters on five pieces of fire apparatus.

No injuries were reported. Investigators will begin the process of determining a cause for the fire.
