Two hurt, charges set in 101 crash

Two Sequim residents were injured in a two-car collision on U.S. Highway 101 just east of Port Angeles on May 27.

Two Sequim residents were injured in a two-car collision on U.S. Highway 101 just east of Port Angeles on May 27.

According to a Washington State Patrol report, Sarah A. Enges, 30, of Sequim, attempted a left-hand turn from North Gales Street onto Highway 101 in a Hyundai Elantra sedan when her car struck a Toyota Camry driven by Richard B. Gritman, 78, of Sequim. Gritman and Patricia A. Gritman, 73, also of Sequim, both reportedly were injured and transported to Olympic Medical Center for treatment.

Enges and a 2-year-old in her car were not injured, according to the state patrol.

Enges was charged with failure to yield the right-of-way, driving without insurance and driving with a suspended license, according to the state patrol report.
