Two OTA plays seek players

Auditions for "Doubt: A Parable" begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, for Olympic Theatre Arts’ performances scheduled for late November and early December.

Needed are one man in his 30s, one woman 45 or older, one woman in her early 20s and one African American woman in her late 20s or 30s for this winner of both the 2005 Tony Award for Best Play and the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Community members are encouraged to stop by the theater, 414 N. Sequim Ave., to try out for a part or sign up to join the crew.

Auditions for the musical "Cabaret" will be held from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, and 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29.

Auditions also will be held from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, and from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5. All auditions will be at the Olympic Theatre Arts Building. Production dates are Feb. 5-21.

Scripts and sample music pieces will be available at the Port Angeles and Sequim libraries. All persons wishing to audition will need to bring music and be prepared to sing and read dialogue.

Parts are available for men and women ages 18 to 65 and up.
