Two Sequim residents hurt in Monday crash

Two Sequim residents were injured in a two vehicle collision near the intersection of Elwha Road and U.S. Highway 101 on Monday, Oct. 26.

Two Sequim residents were injured in a two vehicle collision near the intersection of Elwha Road and U.S. Highway 101 on Monday, Oct. 26.

The Washington State Patrol reports that, at about 3:15 p.m., a 2001 Subaru Forester driven by Robert J. Emery, 67, was eastbound in the center lane of the highway near Elwha Road and was turning into a business’ driveway when it was struck by a 2015 Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide motorcycle driven by Josh D. Holman, 36, of Port Angeles.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Robert Emery and Kathryn Emery, 61, both of Sequim, were injured in the crash and transported to Olympic Medical Center for treatment, the state patrol noted. Holman and Jeffrey Davidson, a passenger on the motorcycle, were not hurt.
