A Port Orchard woman was injured and two Sequim residents were uninjured in a two-car collision Saturday, Aug. 2, on Southpoint Road in Jefferson County, about 18 miles south of Port Townsend.
According to a Washington State Patrol report, Pamela S. Hagwell, 68, of Port Orchard, was traveling in a 2000 Oldsmobile four-door car westbound on State Route 104 and in the turn lane intending to turn left on Southpoint Road. According to the report, Hagwell failed to yield to oncoming traffic, a Chevrolet van with driver and passenger Clyde and Mary Paulus, both 62, both of Sequim. The vehicles collided in the eastbound lane.
Hagwell was injured and transported to Jefferson General Hospital while the Paulus couple was not hurt, according to the report.
The state patrol indicates Hagwell will be charged with failure to yield.
