United Way fund drive below goal

The United Way campaign has reached $687,000, still a distance from the $1,100,000 goal.

The United Way campaign has reached $687,000, still a distance from the $1,100,000 goal. United Way of Clallam County has seen some decreases in giving this year, although many business and individual donations have not yet been returned to the United Way office.

Campaign totals so far are: Sequim, $153,426; Port Angeles, $161,444; Forks, $11,408; Crescent Schools, $1,547; Clallam Bay/Sekiu, $600; Employee Groups, $67,685; Olympic Medical Center Combined Fund Drive, $130,471; County Employees, $17,830; the Combined Federal Campaign for federal employees, $25,628; and corporate gifts, $38,875.

Donations have come from 2,270 individuals or families, compared to last year’s total of 3,089.

Funds raised in this campaign provide financial support to Clallam County agencies and individuals throughout 2010.
