Victoria Express Turns 20

Victoria Express celebrates 20 seasons of passenger-only service in 2010.

Jack and Terri Harmon of Port Angeles own and operate the company, which began in 1990 with the 105-foot Victoria Express’ daily summer round trips.

The Victoria Express and the 125-foot Victoria Express II, added in 2004, provide service between Port Angeles and Victoria, British Columbia, and Victoria to Friday Harbor.

Private charter sailing services are available in the winter.

The vessels provided foot-passenger service during the Hood Canal bridge rebuild in 2009.

At the end of the 2010 season, ownership of the Victoria Express vessel will be transferred to the Port of Kingston for foot-passenger service between Kingston and Seattle.
