Volunteer Hospice offers special holiday bereavement class

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County will present a special holiday program for individuals grieving the loss of a loved one.

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County will present a special holiday program for individuals grieving the loss of a loved one.

“Surviving the Holidays: A Special Program for the Newly Bereaved” will be from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave, Sequim.

Debby Smith, RN, grief support group facilitator, and Marilyn Nelsen, PhD, volunteer services manager and bereavement specialist, will co-facilitate the program. Featured topics include Holiday Survival Strategies, Knowing Your Limits, Developing a Plan, and The Three C’s of Coping.

The program is free of charge and open to the public. Space is limited, so register early by calling the Hospice office at 452-1511.

VHOCC offers compassionate care for the terminally ill and their families. All services are provided free of charge.
