Win a quilt for a good cause
Sequim Gazette staff
Winter is on its way. Now’s the best time to win a handmade quilt.
Sharon Witt, a member of the Sunbonnet Sue Quilt Club, donated the quilt that is being raffled off by the Stitches from the Heart club. From 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, members of the peninsula chapter of Stitches will be at the QFC in Sequim selling $1 raffle tickets.
The drawing will be held Dec. 3 during the Stitches annual luncheon.
All of the collected monies will be used by the national Stitches organization to ship care packages to children in more than 1,200 hospitals across the U.S. The items, which are knitted, crocheted or sewn, are distributed to very young children, “from preemies to toddlers,” says Gayle Cole, peninsula representative for Stitches from the Heart.
