In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, brokers with Windermere Real Estate in Sequim and Port Angeles presented a donation to Sandy Ruddell and Kristi Toth of Operation Uplift.

Operation Uplift is an all-volunteer-run organization serving the Olympic Peninsula which provides assistance to individuals dealing with a cancer diagnoses.

Services include (but are not limited to) prostheses, compression sleeves, wigs, travel assistance, mammography and activities. Currently, breast health clinics (mammography) are scheduled twice a year and are offered to people who are either not insured or under-insured.

The next breast health clinic will be held in Sequim on Oct. 15. One hundred percent of every donation goes back to the people in the community.
