WomenSing! II, the Peninsula Women’s Choral Festival, presents "West of the Bridge" at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at Holy Trinity Church, 301 Lopez Ave., Port Angeles. Suggested donation at the door is $10.
Joy Lingerfelt, director of the NorthWest Women’s Chorale that sponsors the festival, said everyone had so much fun at the 2008 event that the chorus decided to make WomenSing! an annual celebration.
"Our peninsula choruses are a diverse group, singing everything from classical to contemporary, from barbershop to Broadway, from world music to the most cutting edge work of Pacific Northwest composers.
"We love to sing with each other and our audience last year was wildly enthusiastic. We think everyone will enjoy the concert," said Lingerfelt.
Trillium, a Port Townsend chorus directed by Leslie Lewis, and Sequim-based Grand Olympics Chorus, directed by Julie Sharpe, offering women’s barbershop harmonies, will join the NWWC at the festival. All three groups will perform separately and then as a united choir.
