Chantal was born as Carol Anne Weyhmiller March 11, 1948, in Berkley, California.

?Her parents were Maurice and Magdalen Weyhmiller.

Chantal passed away of lung cancer January 30, 2015 in Tucson, Arizona.

She is survived by her husband,

Roger Whitney; two granddaughters Rashaya and Krystal Donnell of Joyce, Washington; her son Jimmy Donnell of Squaw Valley, California; her parents in Pleasant Hill, California; 6 brothers and 4 sisters.

She is preceded in death by her son, Christofer Donnell of Joyce, who passed away March 3, 2014, from brain cancer after seven years.

Chantal worked in the casino industry. First at Harrah’s in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, then Seven Cedars, East of Sequim. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Western Washington

University.

She loved to garden, hike, beach walk, crochet, knit,

sew; not only on the Joyce property, but also on the San Carlos, Mexico property She loved the warmth of the sun and the people in Mexico and had many friends there.

She loved and helped the people in “La Manga,” a small fishing village on the Sea of Cortes, just north of San Carlos. She loved her granddaughters and her German Shepard dog, “Ernie”.

A celebration of Chantal’s life will be held at the Grange in Joyce, Washington, Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. Those who are able, please bring a dish, we will eat after. If you knew Chantal and or her family we would love to see you there.
