Darwin Norbert Promer, age 90 of Sequim, Washington, died October 21, 2025, in California. He was cared for and loved by his family during his final days.

Darwin was born in Lansing, Michigan. He proudly served 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a crew chief on planes during the Korean War. After faithfully serving his country, he returned home to Lansing and met the love of his life, Joan Love. They moved to California, where he worked for the U.S. Postal Service and raised 4 loving children: Michael Darwin, Mark Robert, John Anthony, and Sandra Mai.

After retiring from the postal service, he went to work in the tile industry alongside his two sons, Michael and John. He believed in working hard all his life for his family.

He was a loving grandfather to Jonathon, Melanie, Samantha, Mason, Victor, Robert and great-grandfather to Max, Reese, and Kinsley. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Joan Love, his son Mark Robert, and his grandson Robert Darwin. His warm presence and sense of humor will be missed by his family and remembered always.
