Elsie MacDougall died peacefully after complications from pneumonia on November 21, 2014.

She was born on December 14, 1923 to Ethan and Artie Boozer in Conrad, Montana.

She received a degree in bacteriology from Washington State College in Pullman in 1946.

She married Quinten MacDougall of Sequim on May 10, 1947 in Vancouver, Washington and then moved to Port Angeles.

She worked as a clinical office supervisor for the Port Angeles Physicians’ Clinic for 35 years.

She was an accomplished world traveler, visiting many countries in Europe, Asia, Central and South America as well as Australia.

She began flight instruction under Bill Fairchild in Port Angeles and became a licensed pilot at the age of 46. She earned her instrument rating and owned a Cessna 172 she purchased in 1974.

Elsie was a member and local president of the Ninety-nines.

She was a co-owner with her husband Quentin and another couple of Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Port Angeles until its sale in 1985.

Her interests and hobbies included sewing, embroidery, card-making, cooking, and her family.

She was preceded in death by son Douglas MacDougall and husband Quinten MacDougall.

She is survived by daughter Christine MacDougall Danielson, son in-law Eric Danielson and grandchildren Lane and Quinn Danielson.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
