Janet Ainsworth MacDonald

Janet Ainsworth MacDonald died April 28 from blood clots. She was born December 6, 1928, in Tarrytown, New York, to Janet and William Penn Esterbrook Ainsworth. She attended The Masters School, Skidmore College, and the University of California at Fullerton, where she studied art and art

history. On September 16, 1949, she married Charles “Si” MacDonald.

A lifelong volunteer beginning at age 13, Janet served with the Red Cross and especially cherished her role as community leader of a 4-H group with 110 members. Professionally, she spent 25 years in the travel industry as an agent, office manager, and outside agent.

She is survived by her daughter, Liz MacDonald of Seattle.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on December 6 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Sequim.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Janet’s name to the Welfare Animal Guild (WAG) of Sequim, 751 McComb Rd, Sequim, WA 98382.
