Kenneth Riley Mellott

Kenneth Riley Mellott, aged 82, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016.

Ken worked as an aerospace engineer with Boeing and upon retirement was very active in the Blue Bills, a group of Boeing retirees who contributed to the community by using their skills to help those in need.

He was an avid farmer and had U-pick strawberry and raspberry elds in the Kent and Skagit valleys.

He was known to all as a kind, generous man, and a great story teller with a fun sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judith; daughter Barbara of Kent, Washington; son William of Tainan, Tai- wan; daughter Susan of St. George, Utah; son Daniel of Seattle; brothers Leland and Stephen of Mount Vernon, Washington; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his son Darryl, his daughter Jennifer, his grandchild Joseph, and his brother Keith.
