Larry Eggebroten

November 24, 1936 – May 2, 2015

Larry was born November 24, 1936 to Irwin and Minnie Eggebroten in Littlefork, Minnesota where he was raised along with his younger brother and sister.

He married Heidi Dudel Eggebroten June 25, 1962 and they lived in Alaska and Wyoming before settling in Sequim, Washington in 1997.

Larry proudly served his country in the Navy between 1953 and 1998.

Larry was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4760 in Sequim until his death.

He was always busy with his hands, and was the first to offer to help a neighbor or make Toys for Tots. His skilled handiwork will be missed by all who knew him.

Larry is lovingly remembered by his wife Heidi and his siblings, Janet Jones of Granite Falls, Washington and Sonny Eggebroten of Littlefork, Minnesota. Also, his children, Lee (Kristie) Eggebroten of Park City, Utah and Lon (Terenna) Eggebroten of Tacoma, Washington.

Larry is survived by his 5 grandchildren; Katherine and Jack Wiley of Park City, Utah; Hans and Tauvia Eggebroten of Tacoma, Washington; and Erik (Katelyn) Eggebroten of Steilacoom, Washington, as well as many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned for May 16, 2015, 11 a.m. at the VFW Hall, 169 E. Washington St., Sequim. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marines Toys for Tots program at toysfortots.org.
