??Sequim resident Lorene Rittenmyer died on February 25, 2014. She was 85.

A burial was held at Sequim View Cemetery on March 13, where she was laid to rest next to her son Kurt Rittenmyer. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Lorene was born in Alabama on June 12, 1928.

She grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, where she met her husband George.

She spent 20 years working in real estate in San Jose, California, before moving to Sequim in 1991. She remained in real estate for many years in Sequim and was a member of the Sequim Bay Yacht Club.

She is survived by her husband, George Rittenmyer; son and daughter-in-law, George and Janet Rittenmyer; brother, Bud Rutherford; two grandchildren, Julie and Geoffrey Rittenmyer; and many friends.
