Margorie Mary Schier

April 12, 1926 – April 1, 2016

Marjorie Mary Schier, an 89 year old resident of Sequim, Washington, passed away April 1, 2016, due to natural causes.

She was born to Clarence Joseph Lauer and Eleanor Katherine Baldauf on April 12, 1926 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Marjorie graduated high school from Holy Angels Academy in 1944.

Prior to marriage, she worked as a nurse’s aide at Kadlac Hospital in Richland, Washington.

She married John Schier on September 13, 1947, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and became a homemaker.

Marjorie was an avid knitter and enjoyed reading and music. She was also a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sequim.

She is survived by her daughter Jean (Michael Ewing) Schier of Seattle, Washington; sons David Schier of Monroe, Washington and John Schier of Redmond, Washington; brother James (Pat) Lauer of Hartland, Wisconsin; grandchild Kelli Hanenberg of Maple Valley, Washington and great grandchild Brandon Hanenberg of Maple Valley.

She is preceded in death by her husband John Schier.

Funeral services will be held April 12, 2016,

10:30 a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 121 E. Maple St., Sequim. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
