Melanie Overby

September 12, 1945 ~ March 27, 2015

Melanie Overby, 69, passed away in a Seattle hospital on March 27, 2015, after a long illness.

She was born to Herbert and Louise Beaudry in Crookston, Minnesota where she was raised, along with two younger brothers.

She married Dennis Overby in 1966 and they moved to Sequim in 1968 where she taught English and Journalism at Sequim Middle and High Schools.

She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church and enjoyed flower gardening.

She is survived by brothers Herbert and Daniel Beaudry of Port Angeles, daughter Sephanie Overby of Sequim and many beloved cousins nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Louise, father Herbert and husband Dennis.

A memorial service is planned for April 8, 2015, 2 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 382 W. Cedar St. Sequim. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Faith Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 925, Sequim, WA 98382.
