Kathleen Langston

Kathleen Langston, at the age of 101 years, peacefully passed away from natural causes on February 28, 2023. She was surrounded by all her immediate family members at the Port Angeles Hospital. Kathleen loved a long and joyful life and will be and already is missed by many. She left behind numerous friends and family but joined a multitude of others in a much better placed filled with love and joy with no pain or suffering. One of her favorite sayings was “Trust in Jesus.”

Kathleen was born on January 22, 1922, in Big Timber, Montana. Sheas raised on a small ranch alongside Sweet Grass Creek near Big Timber. Her father, Peter Gottlob, and mother, Bertha, raised six wonderful children: Dale Gottlob, Donna Haarr, Keith Gottlob, Kathleen Langston, Lloyd Gottlob, and Alberta Deegan. As of her death all have now passed on.

Kathleen was married to Phil Langston Sr. for 57 years and raised four children: Phil Langston Jr. (Carolyn), Dennis Langston (Margaret), Kathy Langston, and Lisbeth Hover (Glen). Her family grew and she is blessed and survived by 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 28 great, great grandchildren.

She moved from Havre, Montana to Payallup, Washington in 1962 and then on to Sequim, Washington in 1981. She will always be remembered by her family for her delicious cinnamon rolls, grand gardens, and beautiful quilts. She loved others and spent lots of time making them feel special. She was a woman of faith and a very active member at Faith Lutheran Church in Sequim.

A memorial Service to celerate Kathleen’s life will be held on Saturday, May 20th, 2023, at Faith Lutheran Church in Sequim, Washington at 11 AM.

Robert Barbee

October 31, 1924- February 11, 2023

Bob was born on Halloween Day, 1924. He was a great grandfather, grandfather, father, husband, son and brother.

After his wife passed, he retired to Dungeness in 1996. A WWII veteran, he spent his life advocating for the Merchant Marines.

His memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 15th at 2:30pm at the Sequim American Legion Hall.
