Chester Burley

Beloved husband and father, Chester Flint Burley, Jr. passed away surrounded by family on November 10, 2022. He was 79 years old.

Chester, also known as Chet, was born in Tampa, Florida to Chester and Ella Burley. He grew up in Connecticut then moved to Northern California, where he worked for the telephone company.

When offered an early retirement, he and his family relocated to Sequim, Washington. He was an avid fisherman, and was happiest on a boat fishing or crabbing.

Over the last 20 years he found his love of God and the church. He was loved so much by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Sheryl, sister, Gail Matlock, daughters, Tricia Johnson (Chris), Nancy Grier, step children Brett Payseno (Brookann), Brittany Van Ness (Brian), and Kristen Payseno, grandchildren Taylor (Mantez), Logan, Abby, Kenzie, Abi, Tyler, Elliot and baby Tanner, and great grandchildren Hendrix and Madden.

The service to honor Chet will be on Wednesday, December 7th at 1:00 pm at the Sequim Community Church. Donations can be made to Sequim Community Church, indicating on the memo line for World Link Ministries or New Hope Opportunities.
