Roy “Rick” J. Hamilton, Sr. October 4, 1934 – September 12, 2015

Roy “Rick” J. Hamilton, Sr., an 80 year old resident of Sequim, Washington passed away in Port Angeles on September 12, 2015 due to natural causes.

Rick was born to Franklin George Hamilton and Ruth Kathryn McKenzie Hamilton on October 4, 1934 in Urbana, New York.

He married Darlene Hamilton on July 21, 1956 in Tacoma, Washington.

He served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 15 years as a Technical Sergeant and in the U.S. Navy for 5 years and after retirement went on to open and operate his own appliance repair business, Rick’s Appliance, for an additional 15 years.

Mr. Hamilton was a past commander of the Veterans of Foriegn Wars Post 4760 and an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, especially loved to fish, and enjoyed farming, gardening and working with wood.

He is survived by his wife Darlene Hamilton of Sequim; sons Steven J. (Cathy) Hamilton of Fountain, Colorado, Jeffrey L. (Kathi) Hamilton of Tacoma, Washington and Brian S. (Tatjana) Hamilton of Dubai; sister Hazel Sutton of Campbell, New York; brothers Franklin G. Hamilton, Jr. of New Ipsurch New Hampshire and Bill Hamilton of Enosburg Falls, Vermont; numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Roy J. Hamilton Jr., brother Robert Hamilton and sisters Winnifred Hamilton, Mildred Hamilton, Irene Hale and Eleanore Hamilton.
