Cooperation is refreshing

With all the current political rhetoric it is refreshing to read the Peninsula Daily News’ Page 6: “Russian booster rocket puts U.S. satellite in orbit.”

It reminded me of the Olympic Games. Athletes come together from various countries. Some viewed in a dim light while others shine brightly. At the start line, they are all equal. Together we all applaud the winner.

Today the space program has prevailed. Although we must keep our eye on our competitors, we can work together.

An age adjustment

In my letter titled “Diversity should not subvert our culture” (Sequim Gazette, June 7, page A-10), I should have written, “completed my 86th revolution about the sun.” I regret the error.
