Cheer Team USA on the big screen, enjoy live music, visit food vendors and soak up the festive atmosphere

The cheers erupt as a goal hits the big screen, kids race through soccer challenges as families tuck into delicious festival food and live music drifts through the summer air… Whether you’re a long-time soccer fan and newcomer, 7 Cedars has an exciting, free community event planned for June 19!

Open to all ages, this soccer watch party will be filled with energy, excitement and entertainment, from interactive soccer challenges and family-friendly activities to live music and a beer garden, not to mention an array of local food vendors serving some delicious bites.

7 Cedars’ World Soccer Watch Party is the perfect place to celebrate one of the world’s most celebrated sporting events.

“I noticed that many cities across the pond – including Everett, Seattle, Tacoma and the Eastside were organizing community watch parties, but nothing similar was being planned locally,” says Erick Miller, director of marketing of 7 Cedars Resort Properties.

“As an organization that prides itself on being the entertainment hub of the Olympic Peninsula, we saw an opportunity to create an event that would bring families and community members together to share in the excitement,” Miller says.

Expect to see the world-class competition as Team USA takes on Australia in the first match of the day. The action continues with two additional matches, complemented by live music performances throughout the event.

But that’s only part of the experience you can look forward to.

In partnership with local soccer organizations, from youth programs to collegiate teams, the event will feature skills clinics, training sessions, games and interactive challenges designed to get everyone involved.

The celebration extends beyond the screen including skills clinics, training workshops and fun, interactive competitions for children. Photo courtesy 7 Cedars Resort Properties.

“We hope this event will bring soccer communities from across the region together while providing Olympic Peninsula families with an engaging experience,” Miller notes.

Attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs, wear their dancing shoes and come ready to cheer on the action! Of course, you’re welcome to show your team spirit by wearing team apparel or by displaying your team’s country colours and flags.
