Anglers host annual auction

The Puget Sound Anglers–North Olympic Peninsula Chapter hosts the club’s annual fundraising auction and dinner at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at Sunland Golf & Country Club, 109 Hilltop Drive.

Proceeds from this auction provide the majority of funding for the annual Olympic Peninsula Kids Fishing Program, held at the Sequim Water Reclamation pond.

A silent auction begins at 5 p.m. Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. and a live auction starts at 7 p.m.

Dinner is spaghetti with red or clam sauce, garlic bread and tossed salad. Coffee and bottled water are provided. There will be a “no host” cash bar for the purchase of spirits, wine, beer and soft drinks.

The silent auction offers an assortment of sports merchandise. The live auction items include fishing trips with renowned guides on Olympic Peninsula rivers for salmon and steelhead, charter boat trips for salmon, halibut and/or bottom fish out of Pacific Ocean ports and the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and saltwater trips offered by club members departing out of Port Angeles, Sequim or Sekiu for salmon or halibut.
