Bob Cup Golf Tourney set for July 31

The sixth-annual Bob Cup Golf Tournament fundraiser is set for Saturday, July 31, at The Cedars at Dungeness golf course, 1965 Woodcock Road, Sequim.

Created in memory of longtime Sequim resident Bob Duncan, proceeds from the tourney benefit Clallam Mosaic and the creation of a permanent location for the local nonprofit with a mission to empower individuals with special needs.

“The Bob Cup is becoming an annual summer golfing tradition,” said Mary Jane Duncan, organizer of the tournament. “Support from members of the business community and individuals keeps growing.”

Registration is $100 per player. The fee includes greens fee, cart, raffle ticket and food and beverage vouchers for the Snack Shack. Advanced registration is preferred.

Registration forms are available at ClallamMosaic.org/BobCup. Pre-payment and donations can securely be made through Mosaic’s Square page.

Player check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. and the shotgun start goes off at 9 a.m.

Teams compete for the one-year possession of the Bob Cup.

To heighten the competition, Alaska Airlines — Bob Duncan’s employer for 32 years — also donated two round-trip airline tickets to anywhere the airline serves (excluding Cuba). The tickets will be part of a silent auction featuring many local surprises.

Business and community sponsors for this year’s cup include: 1st Security Bank; Alaska Airlines; Bekkevar Farm; Bell & Bell PLLC, Don Bell and Jeff Bell; Blake Tile & Stone; Brother’s Plumbing; By Design Group, Inc.; Cole’s Jewelers; First Federal; Friends & Family of Christine Motokane; Hi-Way 101 Diner; H2O Plumbing Contractors; Juan de Fuca Cottages; Kirsch Electric; Koenig Subaru; Les Schwab; Mariners Cafe; Mark McHugh Real Estate; Oak Table; Office Depot of Sequim; Seven Cedars Casino; Sound Community Bank; Steve Gish Attorney at Law, and Wilder Auto.

Since 1998, Clallam Mosaic has provided a space where individuals with special needs can continue to grow, offering year-round educational, recreational and leisure opportunities. See ClallamMosaic.org.
