Bowling: McKeown, Klinger finish season at state

Two of Sequim High’s bowlers ended their 2019-2020 season at the 1A/2A state finals last week.

In her second state appearance in as many seasons, SHS sophomore Madison McKeown racked up 851 pins over six games to place 36th overall at Narrows Plaza Bowl in Tacoma.

McKeown’s best game was her third, knocking down 168 pins.

Teammate Corrine Klinger, a senior, tallied 552 pins over six games and placed 53rd overall in her first state tourney. Her top single-game score was 114 pins.

Hallie Stuart of Black Hills won the individual 1A/2A state title with a 1,131-pin, six-game series. WF West won the 1A/2A team title, with Columbia River second and the Olympic League’s Klahowya in third.
