Bowling: Wolves pick up pins, first win

Sequim High’s girls bowling squad had a well-balanced effort against Bremerton at their home venue at Laurel Lanes in Port Angeles on May 11, knocking off Bremerton 3-0.

Anastasia Updike bowled a team-best 423-pin series — including 158 in the third game — as Sequim swept the visiting Knights 516-397, 447-400 and 473-440.

Madison McKeown (141 pins) and Gabriela Mattern-Hall (127) helped the Wolves start strong in the first game.

It’s Sequim’s first win over Bremerton since the 2018-2019 season.
