Sequim came close to its first district title since 2007, but Clover Park’s speed and muscle proved to be too much.
Despite a 60-45 loss to CLover Park’s Warriors on Monday, Feb. 18, the Wolves (20-4) are among the 16 teams in the 2A classification still alive in the postseason. They’ll play the Hockinson Hawks at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Kent-Meridian High School for a shot at the eight-team state tourney in Yakima.
Hockinson (14-10) topped Washougal 67-53 on Feb. 19, getting 26 points from Alan Haagen. The teams play in the Greater St. Helens League.
