Boys soccer: Sequim rebounds from loss with 8-1 rout of North Mason

Sequim’s boys soccer squad ended a week of mixed results on a positive one, routing North Mason 8-1 on the road on April 30.

The Wolves kicked off the week with a 3-1 home loss to Bremerton on April 26 in a key match-up for the Olympic League’s top 2A spot.

Sequim was slated to host Kingston on April 28, but the Buccaneers were unavailable to play because of a lack of transportation to the Olympic Peninsula.

Two days later, the Wolves (9-4 in league play, 9-5 overall) made quick work of the Bulldogs in Belfair. Details were not available at press time.

Coming up

Sequim concludes the regular season with a rescheduled match-up with Kingston at home on May 7.

The 2A West Central Bi-District tourney is set for May 10-14, with 16 teams from the Olympic, South Puget Sound and KingCo leagues vying for six state 2A tournament berths.
