Five Wolves received class 2A Olympic League all-league honors this season with one senior going out on top.

For the first time, Mason Barrett, a senior forward, earned first-team all-league honors. He scored nine goals and served up two assists.

Lijah Sanford received second team all-league for his toughness as a defender.

Coach Dave Brasher said Sanford’s one goal and two assists on the season were particularly impressive as a defender.

Three Wolves were voted honorable mention — Omar Flores, senior midfielder; Hector Baylon, junior defender; and Nick Baird, junior midfielder.

The team finished in fourth place in the Olympic League 9-6 with 29 points and 9-7 overall following a West Central District III first-round tournament loss to the Franklin-Pierce Cardinals.

Many of this year’s players return next season with much of the team playing throughout the summer and year on teams together.

Brasher said before he has high expectations for next season.
