With just two league meets remaining this season, Sequim’s swim crew looks prepped to peak at postseason meets.
The Wolves posted nine personal individual bests and several relay split improvements at the eight-team Swimvitational on Jan. 12.
“There were some incredible swims and the boys were happier then I have seen them all year,” Sequim coach Anita Benitez said.
Junior Jax Thaxton swam backstroke for the first time and is just 0.41 of a second off the school record (set in 2014 by Eric Prosser) and only two seconds from a state qualifying time.
