Sequim had just enough firepower to knock off Bremerton on Oct. 4, avenging a loss earlier this season to the Knights.

The Wolves (8-3) won all four doubles matches last week against Bremerton, who swept each singles match.

Sequim’s Thomas Hughes and Blake Wiker beat Bremerton’s Evan Frankowski and Ian Stuart 6-2, 6-0, in No. 1 doubles play, while Damon Little and Liam Payne won a key, three-set match against Brett Blankenship and Nolan Myers (4-6, 6-1, 6-3).

Nathan Despain and Rylan Tolberd improved to 8-2 as doubles partners with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Josh Rutledge and Marco Tang, and Sequim’s Henry Hughes and Dustin Koch improved to 9-2 after winning their match at No. 4 doubles.

Sequim also beat Kingston earlier in the week, a 7-0 sweep on Oct. 3. Despain, Tolberd and Raymond Lam each won a singles match.

The Wolves were slated to host North Kitsap on Oct. 9 and Kingston on Oct. 11 before the Olympic League tourney, set for Oct. 18 in Poulsbo.

Two Sequim matches — a home match on Oct. 1 against Chimacum and an Oct. 8 match at North Mason — were postponed because of poor weather; no make-up dates have been announced.
