Three Wolves advance to districts following the Olympic League Championships last week in Poulsbo.

Doubles team Jerry Bryan and Eli Berg take the second Olympic League seed going into the West Central District III Tennis Tournament at Kitsap Tennis & Athletic Center on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.

They nearly went the distance before losing to home court champions Josh Benson and Nick Butler of North Kitsap 6-0, 6-2. Last year Richards took fourth with Brandon Payne at districts in Bremerton. They went onto state to go 0-2 last spring.

Sequim also sends Matthew Richards for the fourth Olympic seed in the singles tournament after losing his final match to Bremerton’s Tim Strylund for fourth place.

Fellow Wolves player Victor Lam took sixth and an alternate spot to districts after losing to Janson Pedersen of Port Angeles

Sequim (10-2 in league and 11-2 overall) finished tied with North Kitsap on the season after losing four of its final seven varsity matches against Port Angeles (9-4, 11-4) on Oct. 13. The Wolves and Vikings with identical records share the Olympic League Championship after splitting their matches on the season.
