Boys tennis: Wolves remain undefeated in homestand

Sequim’s boys’ tennis teams finishes its four-game homestand this week after winning all of their matches so far.

The Wolves (4-0 overall and in league play) defeated Bremerton (3-2 overall) 4-3 on Sept. 16 and Kingston (3-1 in league, 4-1 overall) 5-2 on Sept. 17.

Sequim’s doubles teams kept them undefeated as all four varsity teams won including Justin Porter/ Stephen Prorok at No. 1 winning 6-2, 6-4, Henry He/ Danny Willis 6-1, 6-3, Dillon Liebert/ Dylan Miller 7-6, 6-0, and Logan Habner/ John Ryan 6-0, 6-1.

Against Kingston, No. 1 and 2 singles players Matthew Richards and Victor Lam won while doubles teams Porter/ Prorok, Jerry Bryan/ Eli Berg, and Henry He/Dillon Miller won convincingly. Willis nearly won as the No. 3 singles losing 6-7, 7-6, 2-6 against Jovi Hernandez.

This week, the Wolves hosted Port Angeles (3-1, 4-1) on Monday, and Klahowya (2-3 overall) on Wednesday before traveling to Chimacum (1-1 overall) on Friday.
