With poor weather postponing one game and rain forcing another to be played a day early, Sequim’s fastpitch squad made the most of its lone game last week heading into spring break.

The Wolves (2-0 in Olympic League play, 2-5 overall) scored six runs in the first inning on five hits en route to a 12-1, five-inning victory at Kingston on March 29.

Sequim added a run in the fourth and five runs in the fifth.

Shelby Jones pitched a four-hitter through four innings and struck out five to pick up the win, and Isabelle Dennis closed out the game in the fifth.

Jalyla Julmist and Latisha Robideau had two hits each as Sequim tallied eight hits overall.

A March 28 match-up with rival Port Angeles was postponed to mid-April.

Following spring break, the Wolves host North Kitsap on April 10 and Bremerton on April 11, before away dates at Olympic (Silverdale) on April 13 and the Port Angeles match-up on April 16.
