Sequim’s seniors put up a valiant effort in their last home game of the season.
Libby Turella led the Wolves with 10 points and Taylor Heyting had 15 rebounds in a 52-26 loss on Feb. 7 to North Kitsap (10-3, 14-6).
Coach Joclin Julmist said his team played hard but were outrebounded (40-31) and struggled to shoot (21.2% from the field) and control the ball (12 turnovers).
Turella had a solid game to include eight rebounds, including five offensive, and a steal, while Heyting had six offensive rebounds, and a steal.
Sequim’s Gracie Chartraw added seven points, and she and Kaiya Robinson each made two steals.
Sequim (2-11, 3-14) finishes its regular season at Bremerton (0-13, 0-15) on Feb. 10 after press deadline. The game was rescheduled due to inclement weather. The Wolves defeated Bremerton 61-23. on Jan. 14.
