Girls swim/dive: Trojans trump Wolves in pool

Sequim takes three first places in home meet

Olympic’s Trojans spoiled Sequim’s first home meet of the 2013 campaign, winning a 120-58 decision on Oct. 3.

Sequim managed three first-place finishes, two from junior Danielle Barrow. Barrow topped the field in the 200 free and 100 backstroke.

Sequim’s Emily Van Dyken took top honors in diving.

Cassandra Calderon (200 free) and Carmen Wilwert (100 breast) had second-place swims.

Olympic’s Sinead Brown was a double winner, taking first in the 50 free and 100 free.

The Wolves are at North Kitsap on Oct. 10 before closing out the regular season with two home meets: Oct. 17 versus the Bremerton Knights and Oct. 24 against Klahowya’s Eagles.

The Olympic League meet is slated for Oct. 29 in Port Angeles.
