Girls swimming: Wolves post first win, top Kingston

Sequim girls swimming crew picked up an easy, 116-24, victory at Kingston on Sept. 21, with the Buccaneers bringing just two swimmers to the pool at North Kitsap High.

Among the highlights for the Wolves (1-1) were: freshman Annie Ellefson earning a district meet-qualifying time in the 500 free; senior Karlie Viada dropping 16.24 seconds in the same race; sophomore Addie Long and senior Julia Jeffers both dropping time (4.67 and 1.12 seconds, respectively) in the 100 breaststroke, and sophomore Tricia Day improving her 50 free by .19 of a second.

Sequim is at Bremerton on Sept. 28 before hosting the 1A Klahowya Eagles on Sept. 30.
