Girls swimming/diving: Riders dominate Wolves in pool

On Sept. 18, Port Angeles showed why it’s the swimming power on the Olympic Peninsula with a 129-34 win in its home pool against the comparably smaller Wolves’ squad.

Dani Barrow earned the lone win for Sequim, churning through the 500-meter freestyle in six minutes, 56 seconds. Jessica Craig took third place in the 100 breaststroke in 1:39.23.

Sequim hasn’t beaten Port Angeles in the pool in all 14 meetings since the Wolves’ inaugural season in 1998.

A Sept. 20 Sequim meet at Port Townsend was pushed back to Sept. 25 and moved to Sequim.

The Wolves are at Olympic on Sept. 27 and host North Kitsap on Oct. 4, their first home meet in Sequim.
