Host Port Angeles ended Sequim’s unbeaten season with a 6-1 win on March 30.
The Wolves (3-1), playing without No. 1 singles player Kendall Hastings, got their lone win as Jordan Hegtvedt and Malory Morey outlasted Roughriders Waverly Mead and Angelina Sprague 3-6, 6-4 and 6-3 in the match’s only three-set decision.
Sequim (3-2) dominated the singles matches but couldnt break through in doubles play in a 4-3 loss to 3A Bainbridge on March 31.
Hastings won her match over Ella Parker 6-4, 6-3, while Morey, moving over to singles play, won her match over Kristina Walker 6-0, 6-3, and Hegtvedt beat Aga Gatto 7-5, 6-2.
Coming up
Sequim is off for Spring Break through April 13 when the Wolves play at Bremerton. Sequim hosts North Kitsap on April 14.
