Sequim (12-0) started the week with a 7-0 rout of Chimacum at home on April 15.

Playing in their first singles matches of the season, McKenna Hastings and Ashley Rosales both picked up straight set wins, with Hastings topping Makaela Caskey 6-1, 6-1, and Rosales defeating Isabelle Hill 6-0, 6-0. In doubles action, Jessica Dietzman and Kalli Wiker topped Reneé Woods and Grace Yaley 6-3, 6-1.

On April 16, rain shortened a match against rival Port Angeles but Sequim still managed to clinch a league win with victories in all four completed matches.

Dietzman and Wiker improved to 7-0 with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Riders Dency Patel and Emily Rygaard, while Hastings and Rosales swept PA’s Ellie Getchel and Eden Critchfield without losing a point. Law and Amanda He won in No. 3 doubles play, a 7-5, 6-0 win over Kailey Droz and Abby Sanders.

Eden Johnson won the lone completed singles match, a 6-0, 6-0 sweep of Hannah Reetz.

Sequim’s Isabelle Hugoniot had a 5-4 lead over Summer Olsen in No. 1 singles play while Olivia Preston won her first set, 6-1, over Cassandra Shamp, before rain wiped out the remaining play.

On April 17, Sequim got two singles wins and the top three doubles match-ups for a 5-2 league win at Kingston.

Hugoniot topped the Bucs’ No. 1 singles player, Taylor Sanville, 6-1 and 7-6 (7-5), while Johnson topped Rachel Win 6-3, 6-2 in No. 3 singles play.
