Golf tournament helps disabled veterans

A recent golf tournament helped bring in more than $3,000 for local disabled veterans.

The Americans Helping Our Disabled Veterans Golf Tournament at The Cedars at Dungeness on June 4 featured a golf tournament along with live music from local bands such as the Fat Chance Band.

Co-organizer Bill Ellis, on right, said this was the first year for the event and all proceeds went to veterans relief for disabled American veterans in Clallam and Jefferson counties.

Presenting the funds is Bill Shea, director of golf/general manager of The Cedars at Dungeness, to Jeff Belle with Disabled American Veterans.
