Klahhane gymnasts earn medals at Garden City meet

Twelve gymnasts represented Klahhane Gymnastics at the Garden City Invitational Gymnastics Meet hosted by Falcon Gymnastics in Victoria, B.C.

Twelve gymnasts represented Klahhane Gymnastics at the Garden City Invitational Gymnastics Meet hosted by Falcon Gymnastics in Victoria, B.C., on May 20-21 at the Panorama Recreation Centre in North Saanich.

Cindy Liang had an outstanding meet taking first all-around with a score of 37.250 in the Level 4 11-year-old age group.

Liang also picked up first-place gold medals on uneven bars (9.45) and floor exercise 9.525 and silver medals on vault (9.10) and balance beam (9.175).

Dylan Baermann was fourth all-around (35.35 points) in the 10-year-old age group, taking a silver medal on uneven bars (8.85), fifth on balance beam (9.05) and seventh on floor (9.10).

In Level 6 competition, Kori Miller picked up a silver medal on uneven bars (9.25) and finished fourth all-around (35.35) in the 11-year-old age group. Morgan Mattix was fifth on uneven bars with 8.75. In the 14-and-older age group,

Danica Miller picked up the bronze medal on uneven bars (8.725) and fourth on floor exercise (8.975), finishing sixth all-around (34.85).

Kianna Miller took the bronze on floor exercise (9.075) and fifth on vault (8.975) to finish 6th all-around (34.625).

Cassii Middlestead, competing in Level 7 14-and-older age group, took the silver medal on balance beam (9.40) and finished eighth all-around 34.025.

Piper Allen picked up fourth place on balance beam (8.95) and finished 6th (36.025) in the level 3, 10-11 age group.

Competing in the Performance Plus category, members of Klahhane’s Xcel Team received gold, silver or bronze performance ribbons.

Lainy Vig competing in the 11-year-old age group was one of only three girls to receive four gold awards. Also participating were Julienne Jacobs (gold on floor, silver on vault, bars and beam), Aiesha Mathis (gold on vault, silver on beam and floor, bronze on bars), Adisyn Ellis-Bourm (two silver, two bronze awards) and Isabelle Pecorarro (four bronze awards).
