Lacrosse season opens for Port Angeles-Sequim

Lacrosse season on the North Olympic Peninsula is going strong for the boys and girls’ Mountaineers’ squads.

The Port Angeles-Sequim Mountaineers high school boys hosted their first game of the season on March 15 at the Agnew Fields. The Mountaineers lost 8-2 to South Kitsap in the home opener, and lost 17-1 at Vashon to open the regular season on March 13.

The boys were scheduled to have a busy week hosting White River in a 17-4 loss Monday before traveling to Peninsula on March 21 and hosting a rematch with Vashon on March 23.

The Mountaineer’s high school girls were scheduled to travel to South Kitsap on Tuesday, and host Klahowya JV on Monday, March 26.

Port Angeles-Sequim’s middle squad featuring both boys and girls hosts North Kitsap on Saturday, March 24.
