The Olympic Peninsula YMCA in Port Angeles invites members and non-members to join Summit Seekers, the organization’s new hiking club. All hikes are free and open to all levels of hikers. Hikes begin at 8 a.m. and are completed in four hours.

Hike dates and destinations are Aug. 30, Hurricane Ridge to Hurricane Hill; Sept. 20, Obstruction Point to PJ Lake; Oct. 4, Hurricane Ridge to Mount Angeles; Oct. 18, Marymere Falls; and Nov. 1, Spruce Railroad Trail.

Bring a small backpack, two liters of water, food, rain gear, hiking boots or sturdy footwear, layered clothing, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, insect repellant and enthusiasm.
