PHOTO: Wolves’ gridiron stars to play on in Arizona

Sequim High seniors Michael Young, left, and Walker Ward are taking their football talents to the Southwest. The pair signed letters of intent to play football at Ottawa University in Surprise, Ariz.; the Ottawa Spirit play in the National Christian College Athletic Association, school officials announced last week. Ward, an all-Olympic league first team linebacker who led the team with 452 rushing yards and three touchdowns in just five games, will play running back at Ottawa. Young, an all-Olympic League first team player as a junior and first-teamer as a defensive back in 2021, will play wide receiver; he led the team with 11 receptions and had 246 all-purpose yards with three touchdowns.
